Iona Ann Griner Dudley, 78, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. The Savannah native retired from Savannah High School as a Counselor. She also worked for the Chatham County Superior Court, the Savannah Morning News and the Columbia State Record. She was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church and attended Isle of Hope Baptist Church. She also attended Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T/Sgt. John W. Dudley, Retired U.S.A.F.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law James William and Doreen Dudley, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and John Charles and Rivanna Dudley, of Gilbert, Arizona. Mrs. Dudley is also survived by five grandchildren, Jessica Crystal, Jamie Virginia, Catherine Anne, Charles William and Mark Alexander.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Remembrances may be made to the U.S.O.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
